Among all the players in the education of children, parents are most likely to be found sitting on the bench, when it comes to curriculum . We think it’s a huge mistake and the educators shoulder the blame . We have generally kept curriculum to ourselves . For parents, gaining access to the curriculum, and to their children’s feelings about their teachers in relation to academic work, helps answer the question.  What can I do to help my child and her teacher establish a respectful and productive relationship ?

Parent don't wake up in the morning planning to make a child's life miserable. Yet, in-spite of good intentions, the unwanted war breaks out again. Parenthood is an endless series of small events, periodic conflicts, and sudden crises that call for a response. The response is not without consequence. It affects personality and self regard for better or worse. We would like to believe that only a disturbed parent responds in a way that is damaging to a child. Unfortunately,even parents who are loving and well groomed also blame, shame,accuse,ridicule,threaten,bribe, label, punish, preach, and moralize. The tragedy of such communication often lies not in the lack of caring but in a lack of understanding; not in a lack of intelligence, but knowledge. Parents need a special way of relating and talking with their children .

Teacher

Teachers are tired of hearing "Attitude is important " again and again in every conference and convention they already know what a child needs . Child needs to be accepted , respected , liked and trusted , encouraged , supported , activated , amused; able to explore experiment and achieve. Child need too much but teachers have report cards to make and overwhelming important work and assessment to be done . when crucial problem appear philosophies often disappear . All the lecture and all the courses are of little value . At the moment of truth only skill saves . What teacher needs is small psychological change . They need specific skills for dealing effectively and humanely with minute to minute happenings the small irritations , the daily conflicts , the sudden crisis . All these situations call for helpful and realistic reaction

All of us are face with the challenges of adjusting to a world that is no longer as predictable and secure as it once was , and , for children , growing up is more difficult than ever before . Today childhood stress is at an epidemic proportions and childhood depression and suicide are also on the increase . Children are brought for treatment not because they are disturbed, but because they are disturbing . Our responsibility as educators and counselors include not only providing them with knowledge and facts , but also teaching them a the survival skills they need to cope with modern day living .
